With the eyes of the nation on Minnesota, the Vikings did not disappoint and, on a last second field goal, went on to defeat their division rival, the Green Bay Packers, and solidify their position in the playoffs. From the very first game on August 5, 1961, the Minnesota Vikings have been among the National Football League's elite and have proved that winning is a big part of their makeup.
